Pretty sure I received a used/returned peculator. The box it came in had no markings, had been opened, and with no packing inside. Might have busted open during transport, so that may not be the sellers fault. BUT, the coffee maker had black residue inside and on the top. Pretty sure it was dried coffee. The top doesn't fit very well and has nothing for a seal. This lets steam seep out of the pot, condenses back to liquid and runs down the side of the pot causing a large puddle of water, I'd estimate 1/2 cup of water, on whatever you have the pot setting on, in my case the counter top. Inside only has a "MAX" fill level, no other measure markings. Only thing I can say good about this pot is that it does brew coffee, even while making a mess on your counter. I do not recommend.
