I would have given this a 5 Star review but mine came with a handle that is at a slightly diagonal angle, turned slightly to the right instead of being straight up and down. Still does the job though, even if the wonky handle is annoying.Looks nice and is easy to use/cleanRaise your hand if you break the glass ones! ?? I don’t worry that I’ll break this one and it works great and is classy looking. When our previous French press glass carafe shattered, it was time to find a replacement. This press is great. It holds the coffee hot, the flavor is right and I like the rustic wooden handle/color combo. Highly recommendedI am shocked that the instructions are only written in German.I bought this as a replacement when my glass French press broke. I like how easy it is to take apart for deep cleaning. It totally stains the grounds and is an upgrade from my previous French press. It's tightly engineered, easy to use, and so aesthetically pleasingI purchased this to use on a recent camping trip. It was way to use and clean and made a great cup of coffee! Also, it looks really nice in my kitchen.I love this french press! High quality and looks great. Very pleasedGreat for 2 people. Thankfully fits under our Keurig so we can easily boil water into it. Keeps the heat a long time while the coffee is doing its thing. Even with large hands i can still get in there with a paper towel to scoop out the grinds into the green bin. Please don’t put your grinds down the sink! Clean up is a breeze as everything easily breaks down into their individual pieces. This is a gorgeous coffee press. I bought it for my camper as I didn’t want to worry about breaking a glass one and I despise cold coffee. This checks both boxes. I drank two big mugs of coffee over 45 min and it was still piping hot. I especially appreciate the lid has a pouring function so it doesn’t cool down as you let it sit. I’m sure this thing will outlive me as it is very sturdy. Yes it is worth the extra $!I am sad to say this is getting returned as it arrived with a broken handle (IMO from a design flaw). This was really impressive for the price, as explained by the following pro/con list:PROS• The plunger's filter has a tight fit to the canister, which when combined with the double screen reduces allot of the sediment my old bodum had• Makings on the inside of the canister make it easy to get the right ground of water ratio• There is no gap where the spout connects to the canister so water/coffee/grounds won't get caught up which gives you a clean pour and makes for easy cleaning• The canister itself seems super rigid so i'm sure it would last a lifetime, the handle isn't so good (see cons)• This thing sure looks nice sitting on the counter• As with most stainless presses this keeps the coffee warm for some time, although it doesn't seem to be as good as other double walled stainless items I have as the outside still gets warm which means there is thermal transfer• I didn't experience any metallic taste to the coffee• Great value if it wasn't for the design flaw in the handle (see cons)CONS• The handle arrived BROKEN, which tells me that if it didn't it would eventually break!! This is a major design flaw <-• The lid isn't sung to the inner canister walls which allows it to move around and make noise. This also doesn't instill allot of confidence that the lid would stay put if turned upside down w/o a finger on the lid• The shaft of the plunger does not have any seal where it passes through the lid which allows liquid to get inside the lid. Although not much gets in some does and since the lid does not disassemble this can never be cleaned out. EW!I love this french press, I’ve been looking for one that isn’t glass so I can travel with it and also go camping. I’ve had it for 4 months now and its still staying in one piece, I will wash it twice a day with hot water( avid coffee drinker here), 2 times a week with soap and the stainless steel will not absorb the coffee taste. The double filter will filter most grind and leave 50% less fine coffee grinds than one filter. It also comes with spare filters for whenever the others starts to be old, but mine are still in pristine condition. My only disappointment is that it doesn’t have a seal so your coffee wont stay warm for more than 1hour in the French press, if you were looking for multiple hot cups in one sitting. I am still waiting for my wooden handle to break, so far there isn’t any cracks or signs of the wood deteriorating. But its wood, so expect it to deteriorate if it not cared for properly. I will update if there is anything changing ;)
