This lovely kitchen tool is not only pretty but works so much better than the old metal ones that it's tough to explain my absolute delight. The tacky looking 30+ year oldies go out in the next garage sale. My original goal began with a determined effort to be 100% quit of GMO corn (and corn tortillas are almost daily fare for this Irish lass and hubby). I EXACTLY followed the instructions detailed by Luz Calvo and created a great "masa" which I pressed into perfectly rounded thin -- and oh! so yummy! -- tortillas. I've mastered that project and today I snuck in some pizza dough I made last night for the beginning of two individual-sized pies. Worked for that too.Be certain to use the plastic [just the free plain plastic veggie bags from the supermart ] she recommends -- surprised me at the ease of that (and I still do plan to try it with parchment paper, my original plan before reading her instructions) but she writes instructions so clearly that you can't go wrong if you scrupulously believe and follow her words.
