ORIGIN Huehuetenango is named for the wild mountain region of western Guatemala, where the coffee-growing region extends up to 6,400 feet. The finest varieties of Arabica coffee are cultivated here. The area is a cradle of Mayan Indian culture, where local farmer still follow an ancient way of life. Coffee from this region is hand-picked and processed by native growers on tiny farms. For example, if making a 4 cup pot in a Mr. Coffee machine, pour water into the machine up to the 4 cup line and put 4 tablespoons of ground coffee in the basket with a filter. Feel free to adjust the amount of coffee to your tastes, adding more grounds for a stronger cup of coffee and fewer grounds for a weaker cup.
